Happy 250th Birthday, America!

Happy Independence Day!

Today is for flags, fireworks, family, and gratitude. But July 4th is also a reminder that America was built on liberty, not government control.

The Declaration of Independence recognized that our rights come from our Creator and that government exists to protect them.

That still matters.

Freedom gives families room to worship, work, build, educate, serve, and prosper. It allows people to take risks, learn from failure, and create better lives.

Too often, policymakers respond to problems with more spending, taxes, regulation, and central planning. That is not the American way.

The American way is faith, family, responsibility, free enterprise, private property, and limited government.
Freedom is not free. It requires sacrifice, vigilance, and courage.

So today, enjoy the fireworks. Thank God for the blessings of liberty. Then keep defending the principles that let people prosper.
